ProveIQ ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Talpro India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit proveiq.in and use our services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Data: Name, email address, profile photo (via Google OAuth)
  • Profile Data: Headline, bio, skills, education, city, LinkedIn/GitHub URLs
  • Submission Data: Code, documents, links, and other work submitted for milestone evaluation
  • Employer Data: Company name, industry, website, billing information
  • Communication Data: Contact form messages, support requests

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, features used, time spent (via PostHog analytics)
  • Device Data: Browser type, OS, screen resolution
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URL

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the ProveIQ platform
  • To evaluate your submissions using AI (Anthropic Claude)
  • To generate scores, certificates, and public profiles
  • To match candidates with relevant internships
  • To communicate service updates and respond to inquiries
  • To improve our AI evaluation accuracy and platform features
  • To detect fraud, abuse, and policy violations

3. AI Processing

Your milestone submissions are processed by Anthropic Claude AI for evaluation. We send submission content and rubric criteria to the AI. The AI returns scores and feedback. We do not use your submissions to train AI models. Anthropic's data retention policy applies to API calls.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with:

  • Employers: When you apply to an internship, your profile, submissions, and scores are visible to the posting employer
  • Public Profile: If your profile is public, your name, headline, scores, and badges are visible at proveiq.in/p/yourname
  • Service Providers: Anthropic (AI), Resend (email), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (error tracking), Backblaze (file storage)
  • Legal: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time. After deletion, we retain anonymized analytics data and audit logs for up to 2 years for legal compliance.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR and Indian data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and data
  • Export your data in machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications
  • Object to automated decision-making

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures: HTTPS encryption, secure authentication (NextAuth), parameterized database queries, rate limiting, security headers, and regular security audits. See our Security Policy for details.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies (PostHog) are used with your consent. See our Cookie Policy for details.

9. Children

ProveIQ is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via email or banner. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Grievance Officer (DPDP Act 2023 §8(9))

In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 §8(9) and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 Rule 5(9), we have designated a Grievance Officer to address your concerns about how we handle your personal data.

12.2 Service levels

  • Acknowledgement: within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Resolution: within 30 days, per DPDP Act §8(9) and Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 Rule 5(5).
  • Escalation: unresolved grievances after 30 days may be filed with the Data Protection Board of India.

12.3 Scope

You may contact the Grievance Officer for: data access / correction / erasure requests not resolved via our self-service DSR endpoints, consent withdrawal disputes, breach impact queries, cross-border data-transfer questions, and any alleged violation of this Privacy Policy.
